Post Publication Discussion Policy
Post Publication Discussion Policy
TEJAS Journal of Technologies and Humanitarian Science (TEJAS) recognizes that scholarly communication continues after publication through academic discussion, critical evaluation, clarification, and exchange of research perspectives.
This Post Publication Discussion Policy establishes the journal’s approach toward receiving, evaluating, and responding to comments, concerns, questions, and scholarly discussions related to published articles.
Reader Comments and Scholarly Discussion
TEJAS welcomes constructive academic discussion regarding published research. Readers, researchers, and other members of the scholarly community may communicate relevant observations, questions, corrections, or concerns regarding published articles through the Editorial Office.
Post-publication discussions should:
- Focus on scholarly, methodological, ethical, or factual aspects of published research.
- Provide clear reasoning and relevant evidence where applicable.
- Maintain respectful and professional academic communication.
- Contribute to the improvement and understanding of the published scholarly record.
Submission of Post Publication Concerns
Readers wishing to raise concerns or provide scholarly comments regarding a published article should contact the Editorial Office with:
- Article title and publication details.
- Description of the concern, comment, or observation.
- Supporting evidence or relevant references, where applicable.
- Contact information of the person submitting the concern.
The journal may request additional information when necessary for appropriate assessment.
Editorial Assessment
All post-publication comments, questions, and concerns are reviewed by the editorial team to determine their relevance, validity, and appropriate response.
The editorial assessment may include consultation with:
- The article authors.
- Independent subject experts.
- Members of the editorial team.
- Relevant institutional or research authorities, where required.
Editorial decisions regarding post-publication discussions are made independently and based on available evidence.
Author Response
Where appropriate, authors may be invited to respond to substantive comments or concerns related to their published work.
Author responses should address the issues raised in a professional and evidence-based manner. The journal may publish author responses, editorial notes, corrections, or other notices when considered appropriate for maintaining transparency in the scholarly record.
Corrections, Clarifications, and Retractions
Post-publication discussions that identify factual errors, ethical concerns, methodological issues, or significant problems affecting the reliability of published work may result in further editorial action.
Depending on the nature and seriousness of the concern, the journal may issue:
- A correction notice.
- A clarification statement.
- An editorial note.
- A retraction notice.
Such actions will be handled according to the journal’s Corrections and Retractions Policy and publication-ethics procedures.
Professional Conduct
TEJAS encourages open scholarly communication while maintaining respectful academic standards.
Comments, responses, and discussions should avoid:
- Personal attacks.
- Unprofessional language.
- Unsupported allegations.
- Content unrelated to scholarly evaluation.
The journal reserves the right to decline or moderate communications that do not contribute constructively to academic discussion.
Transparency and Integrity
Post-publication discussion is considered an important part of maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record.
TEJAS remains committed to addressing legitimate concerns through transparent, fair, and evidence-based procedures while protecting the confidentiality and rights of authors, reviewers, and other participants where applicable.
