Funding Disclosure Policy

Funding Disclosure Policy

TEJAS Journal of Technologies and Humanitarian Science (TEJAS) is committed to maintaining transparency and integrity in scholarly publishing. The journal requires authors to disclose all sources of financial support, institutional assistance, or other forms of funding that contributed to the research, preparation of manuscripts, or publication process.

This policy aims to ensure transparency regarding the role of funding organizations and to help readers identify any potential influence or relationships associated with the published research.

Author Funding Disclosure Requirements

Authors submitting manuscripts to TEJAS should provide a clear funding statement during manuscript submission.

The funding statement should include:

  • Name of the funding organization, institution, grant agency, or sponsor.
  • Grant number or project identification details, where applicable.
  • Description of the role of the funder in the research process.
  • Disclosure of any financial or material support received for conducting the study.

If the research received no specific financial support, authors should provide an appropriate statement indicating that the research received no external funding.

Role of Funders

Authors must clearly disclose whether funding organizations had any involvement in:

  • Study design and research planning.
  • Data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Preparation, review, or approval of the manuscript.
  • Decision to submit the manuscript for publication.

Funding support does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or publication acceptance decisions.

Institutional and Non-Financial Support

Authors should also disclose significant non-financial contributions that supported the research, including institutional resources, laboratory facilities, technical assistance, access to specialized equipment, datasets, or other academic support where relevant.

Conflict of Interest and Funding Transparency

Funding information should be disclosed together with any relevant conflict-of-interest declarations.

The existence of research funding does not automatically represent a conflict of interest; however, transparent disclosure enables readers, reviewers, and editors to evaluate potential relationships that may be relevant to the interpretation of research findings.

Funding Statement Examples

Authors may use one of the following formats:

Funded Research:

“This research received financial support from [Funding Organization] under Grant No. [Grant Number]. The funder had no role in the study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation of results, manuscript preparation, or decision to submit the article for publication.”

No External Funding:

“The authors declare that this research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.”

Editorial Responsibility

The disclosure of funding information is considered part of responsible research reporting. Editors and reviewers may request additional clarification regarding funding sources when necessary to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Funding disclosure does not affect the independence of editorial decisions. All manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, methodological quality, scholarly contribution, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Undisclosed Funding

Failure to disclose relevant funding sources may require clarification from authors and may result in appropriate editorial action if undisclosed funding affects the transparency, interpretation, or integrity of the published research.

Where necessary, the journal may issue corrections or take other appropriate action in accordance with its publication ethics policies.
